Why I Stopped Blogging for a While — And What I’m Doing Differently Now

Well… it’s been a while.

I haven’t published a blog post since November, which is not exactly the kind of consistency people love to bang on about online. My bad. But here we are.

Life got in the way, business got messy, my focus got pulled in too many directions, and if I’m honest, I also got stuck in my own head a bit. Not unusual. Just annoying.

The good news is I’m not interested in pretending I’ve had some magical breakthrough in the meantime and now have all the answers neatly colour-coded in a folder.

What I do have is more clarity than I had before, and right now, that’s enough.

Why I Stopped

It wasn’t one dramatic thing.

It was a mix of trying to juggle too much, letting AI pull me off in one direction, losing momentum, blaming menopause a little bit too, and spending too much time thinking about what I should be doing instead of just getting on with one thing properly.

That’s one of the biggest traps in online business, especially when you’re a beginner or still trying to get proper traction.

You can spend hours:

  • wondering if your niche is right

  • changing your mind about what to promote

  • tweaking tech

  • watching more training

  • saving more ideas

  • and somehow still not moving forward

I’ve done all of that.

Way too many times.

What I’ve Realised

One of the biggest things I’ve learned is that more information is not always the answer.

Sometimes what you really need is:

  • more clarity

  • more structure

  • less distraction

  • and a better plan for what actually matters right now

For me, that means getting back to basics.

Not in a boring way. In a sensible way.

That means writing again, building again, and focusing on what fits where I am now instead of chasing every shiny thing that pops up and promises to fix my life by Tuesday.

What I’m Focusing on Now

Right now, getting back into blogging properly and making it part of my business again is a big part of it, because I actually enjoy it.

I’m also focusing more on beginner-friendly affiliate marketing, content, email, funnels, and the things that help make this whole online business world feel less chaotic and more doable.

No fake guru nonsense.

No pretending everything is quick and easy.

No “just post three times a day and manifest abundance from your kitchen table” rubbish.

And no more shiny object syndrome draining time and money for the sake of it.

I’m not the biggest fan of social media either, although it’s a necessary evil in today’s online world.

So what I’ll be sharing is simple: real lessons, useful tips, honest recommendations, and what I’m learning as I go.

What You Can Expect From Me Going Forward

I’ll be sharing more about:

  • affiliate marketing for beginners

  • content and blogging

  • email and funnels

  • tools and training I actually find useful

  • the real side of trying to build something online without losing your mind

And yes, I’ll mention offers and resources sometimes too, but only when I think they’re worth your time.

If You’ve Fallen Off Track Too

You’re not the only one.

A lot of people stop, stall, go quiet, second-guess themselves, and then feel awkward starting again.

But starting again is still starting.

And that counts.

So this is me getting back on track.

No grand speech. No dramatic comeback tour. Just a proper restart.

If you’re trying to make sense of affiliate marketing and want a clearer starting point, I’ve had a lot of value from this free course that breaks the basics down properly.
